Current Outreach Programs
The slow, steady success of the SnuggL'Up program has brought us in contact with a wider variety of people with needs and made us aware of additional ways we could help them.
SnuggL'Up With a Good Book Literacy Program:
This program is designed to help children and youth create a positive and nurturing reading environment with the end result of becoming strong, independent readers and acquiring the desire to become productive, self sufficient and successful members of society.
The Good Book goals will be accomplished by combining the positive and nurturing effects derived from cuddling a SnuggL'Up pillow while being held and/or read to by another person.
The synergy of receiving the pillow's sensation of comfort and security while being read to, combined with the positive attention received during reading, will serve to enhance the overall reading experience and create a desire to repeat the process.
These optimistic and encouraging feelings will then transfer when the child reads independently while holding the SnuggL'Up pillow. The final outcome will be an ongoing and progressive desire to read.

The SnuggL'Up Gift of Love Hospice and Grief Support Program:
This program was created to enhance the level of palliative care by helping the hospice patient's transition be an experience of comfort, security and love, thus helping to lower the level of stress experienced by both the hospice patient and those assisting with the palliative care.
The program is also designed to assist the family members during the dying stages and continue to help them through the ensuing grief process.
The Hospice and Grief Program consists of combining the appropriate size SnuggL'Up comfort pillow with books and other support materials written by leading authorities in the hospice and grief fields. Featured authors include Dr. Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, Mother Theresa and David Kessler.
Anecdotal information about this program states patients and mourners experience increased physical comfort, improved sleeping and an overall improvement in their sense of well-being.
SnuggL'Up Healing Hearts Program:
This program is designed to address the emotional needs of abuse and neglect victims, help them break the cycle of abuse, and move forward in the healing process by experiencing a sense comfort, security, and love.
SnuggL'Up comfort pillows will be combined with age appropriate and inspirational books to help foster a sense of pride and hope for the future. Programs will be distributed through social services agencies, with the assistance of domestic violence and abuse rescue volunteers, first response police officers, foster care personnel and other local government and volunteer agency staff.
The Healing Hearts Program philosophy includes the belief that a child who feels a sense of love and nurturing can use this empowerment to break their negative cycle of abuse.
Each child given this opportunity can take the positive reinforcement and use it to improve his or her future socio-economic status while stopping the perpetuation of abuse and neglect.
